The ancient mystery schools of Egypt, Greece, India, and other centers of knowledge all taught 'sound and music for healing' as a highly developed sacred science.  Sonic vibration was known to be the fundamental creative force in the universe. Ancient peoples have always known the profound effect that sound has on the body, mind and spirit. The use of sound as a healing modality dates back to prehistoric times, when shaman chanted and drummed to heal people. The ancient Egyptians certainly believed this, with their use of tuning forks and rods to reach immortality. There are so many possibilities once the sound/vibration, physical matter, consciousness, and their interconnectedness are understood.

The basic principle of Sound Healing is that of Resonance. This is where we all agree that every object is in a state of vibration and therefore creates sound. We understand that everything is created through projected vibration on a carrier wave, each vibration has it's own resonant frequency and vibrates in cycles per second and has a tone or note. Sound can be converted into light, and light into sound. This implies that sound and its outer expression, vibration, are mathematically tied to light. And if that is true, then an understanding of vibration could be paramount to understanding our reality.

The body is an orchestra within the all of the cosmos. We call the state of being 'health' when the various parts of our body, such as organs, muscles, bones, etc are vibrating at their normal, healthy frequency, When a portion of our body begins to vibrate at a frequency which is not harmonious we create discord or disharmony within and without and a state of dis-ease gets sets up in our bodies and our environment. It is possible to use sound to project the correct resonant frequency of that part of the body which is vibrating out of harmony back into the body, causing it to return to its natural frequency and return to a state of health. It is our divine birthright be exist and be in a state of harmony and balance.
