Aria calls her role, 'Transformational Facilitator'. She is an ordained Healing Minister with Universal Life Ministries, has been trained as a Sound Healer, a Massage Therapist, attuned to Reiki Master, takes people on journeys as a Trance Dance Facilitator and shamanic practitioner, calls herself a multi-dimensional matrix weaver, and crystal healer. She also offers ear candling to her clients.

Aria Joy was initiated and given and took her new name in Feb. of 2004. 

Aria received her Massage Therapy education from Aveda Institute in Minneapolis and completed her course in Feb. of 1994 and began her practice in a chiropractic office in the Dinkytown area of Minneapolis and then expanded into her own private practice in 1996.  She was the top graduate in her class.

In 1999, Aria received her Trance Dance Ritual Training certificate of completion from Natalie Institute in Texas. Aria has facilitated Trance Dance rituals for the community at large in the Minneapolis/St. Paul MN and surrounding areas, in northern and western Wisconsin, and Oklahoma for various women's groups, young leadership groups, and privately for individuals. In 2000, she traveled to Hawaii to assist with training new trance dance facilitators. 

The symbols came in a dream and she was called to be 'attuned' to Reiki in 2001. Her final attunement to Reiki Master happened in October of 2002. Aria has been carrying that energy with her wherever she goes and incorporates the energy into her daily life and her work with individuals, couples, or groups.  

Aria attended and completed, the Jonathan Goldman, Healing Sounds Intensive in 2006. While there she learned about the sonic yoga of listening, sacred geometry and sound, sonic shamanism, overtoning healing techniques, vocal harmonics, therapeutic uses of music, about shifting frequencies, vowels as a sacred language, how to build a Merkaba using her voice, the magic of color, light, sound and more.

Aria was ordained as an Healing Minister with Universal Ministries in April of 2006.

Aria brings her studies of the Celtic tradition, the Native American tradition, and Neo-Shamanic practices and uses these philosophies, healing modalities, and ritual practices in her work with her clients.
Aria has had a wide range of teachers who have influenced her work and life. They include Jonathan Goldman, Chilean Shaman Luzclara, Bryan Deflores, Golden Eagle aka Standing Elk, Wilbert Alix, Mariann Somers, life experieince, her friends, her family and their traditions, Mother Nature, Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and more.

Aria owned and operated a metaphysical store and education center for 7 years in Minneapolis MN and was the steward of a retreat center for 2 years in Northfield MN. While there, she installed a unique one of a kind labyrinth called the Aria's penta-labyrinth and re-created 'The Womb' where she facilitated shamanic waterjourneys. 

Aria's first crystal teacher was affectionately called Missy Mawgret or Margaret Bedor. In 1985 Missy Mawgret introduced Aria to the wide variety of crystals and their healing and metaphysical properties. Aria had always been attracted to nature's gifts and grew to love the power of stones. She was later guided to be 'the keeper of the stones'. Her journey and exploration of crystals has been ongoing and probably will never end.

At this time she is a traveler of the sacred sound current and will be traveling around the US and other countries, offering her gifts and services for individuals, couples, or groups.
